The Window Sex Project has partnered with Hollaback! NYC to respond to street harassment in Harlem. Hollaback! is a movement dedicated to ending street harassment using mobile technology. Street harassment is one of the most pervasive forms of gender-based violence and one of the least legislated against.
The Window Sex Project and Hollaback! share a mutual goal: get as many women as possible living in Harlem to tell their stories and map it.
We agree that the best way to fight street harassment is to SHARE YOUR STORY! We believe that by continuing to tell and map these stories, our voices will chip away at a culture that makes gender-based violence OK. Together we have the power to end street harassment, one Hollaback at a time.
