Community Workshop 2 Photo Re-Cap

The Window Sex Project: Community Workshop 2 took place on Saturday, July 16 at Barnard College.

Session 1 started the day with a pilates class taught by Tara Willis, followed by Afro-Modern dance taught by Sydnie Mosley.

Session 2 featured a delicious lunch donated by Best Yet Market in Harlem, and a moderated conversation with Kimberlynn Acevedo and Dash Harris.

Session 3 provided an opportunity for participants to create movement phrases based on their experiences with street harassment and to share their stories on camera.

Feedback from participants:

I enjoyed the discussion most. It was really helpful to hear other people's stories. It was empowering to explore alternative ways to react to street harassment...

I really loved the movement segments: pilates and African dance, and the movement enactment of a street harassment experience we've had.

Lunch provided = yummy and generous; gift bags = what a surprise! Really excellent group of women assembled.

Loved the pilates and first dance class. Good workout and good for all levels.

Join us for our last workshop on August 20.
